Quality Control

The raw material that arrive to our industrial plant are manufactured under international standards and specifications.

Besides the approval of the Tests Protocols sent by our suppliers, they are subjected to rigorous tests of Control of Quality in the Laboratories of ELECTROCABLES C.A., in order to make sure the good quality of the same ones.

we count on the seal UL for various of our products

The Copper
Arrives to our facilities in wire rod form, meeting the standard ASTM B-49, and has as main characteristics its excellent electric conductivity, high ductility and malleability.

The Aluminum
The same as the copper, it is received in wire rod form in different alloys according to the conductor type to manufacture, 1350-H16, 5005 H-19, or 6201-T4; among their more important properties are their low specific weight or volumetric density and their acceptable electric conductivity.

The (CPW) Galvanized, Alum Weld (ALW) or Copper Weld (CPW) Steel
Arrives to our plant in wire form and depending of the conductor type to be manufactured has different mechanical and electric characteristics; their main characteristic is its excellent mechanical performance and its high resistance to the corrosion of the environment.

The Chloride of Polyvinyl or PVC
Is a thermoplastic compound, used in our conductors for insulation and for jacket. This raw material is obtained from the mixture of the Chloride of Polyvinyl with stabilizer, plasticizer, coloring, lubricant, etc. in different proportions according to the conductor type that will be manufactured and to the operating temperature of the same one of 60ºC, 75ºC, 90ºC or 105ºC; its main characteristics are the following ones:

- High resistance to the humidity.
- High resistance to the heat.
- Great flexibility.
- High electric resistance.
- Good resistance to the fuels and oils.
- Extraordinary resistance to the mushrooms and the corrosion.
- It doesn't sustain the combustion, neither it propagate the flame.

The Polyethylene or PE
Is also a thermoplastic compound, used in our conductors for insulation and for jacket. Depending of the conductor type to be manufactured this raw material can have diverse operation temperatures, 75ºC (for the LLPE) or 90ºC (for the XLPE); among their main characteristics we could mention the following ones:
- Extraordinarily high electric resistance.
- Lower specific weight, <1 gr /cm3.
- Excellent U.V. protection in black color cables, when the compound has "Coal-Black".
- Great resistance to the impact and the abrasion.
- High resistance to the humidity.
- Excellent mechanical properties, resistance to the traction and elongation

The Nylon
Is another of the materials that we use in the manufacturing of electric conductors, although only as jacket. Between their main properties and characteristics we have the following ones:
- Excellent resistance to the abrasion.
- Excellent resistance to most of the industrial solvents and chemical products.
- Excellent resistance to the fuels, oils and hydrocarbon greases.
- Low specific weight.

* WARNINGS FOR THE USE AND APPLICATION:
The type of cable to be used in a certain application depends essentially on the conditions of the installation and of the work that he will carry out. For the more simple cases the selection of the more suitable cable will be able to be made based on the information given in this catalog; but for specific applications or particular conditions of installation and use, it is advisable to consult to ELECTROCABLES'S Technical Department, who is to your service to give you the attendance that you deserve.
